September just wouldn't be September in Watsonville without the annual Santa Cruz County Fair. It features show time extravaganzas, live music from local and world-renowned artists, 4-H exhibits, horse and car shows, arts and craft displays. Kids love the rides, the carnival games, the shows and the treats. Adults love it all, from the traditional merry-go-round to colorful flower exhibits and award-winning baked goods.

Things look up in Watsonville when the town hosts the annual Fly In. Daredevils perform hair-raising tricks in the air. They freefall, spin and roll. The show performers are skyward acrobats; men and women who love danger and live for the next aeronautic thrill. Over 40,000 people come to the Air Show to watch the performances and get a close-up view of more than 500 helicopters, antique aircraft, military planes and home built beauties. The event is on Memorial Day weekend.

The Center is an 838-seat state-of-the-art professional performance facility, offering a community center for musical productions, dramas, artistic venues, seminars, and events for large audience participation. The Pajaro Valley Performing Arts Association is responsible for the management of the Center for all aspects of production acquisition and scheduling.
Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds
Best know as the home of the Santa Cruz County Fair and the Watsonville Speedway, the fairgrounds hosts numerous events every year. Located two miles east of Watsonville, with 100 acres of usable space, it is the ideal setting for events and festivals such as: auto races, home shows, arts & crafts, horse shows and the Fourth of July celebration.
