Cabrillo College is located just seven miles north of Watsonville in the town of Aptos. Cabrillo enrolls approximately 13,000 students during fall and spring semesters and about 3,000 attend during summer. The beautiful campus is terraced on 62 acres overlooking the Monterey Bay.

Cabrillo College offers the first two years of four-year degree programs, in a variety of subjects. It was rated in the top ten of community colleges transferring students into the University of California and California State University systems.

Cabrillo also excels in one- and two-year occupational programs that provide training and professional development in 23 different fields.

Fourteen miles north of Watsonville is the University of California, Santa Cruz founded in 1965 on the site of the historic Cowell Ranch. Since then, UC Santa Cruz has grown to include eight colleges and about 10,000 students.
